Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026 · Operator: ArkStella · Contact: wealthmap-support@arkstella.com
This Privacy Policy explains how ArkStella ("ArkStella", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with WealthMap (the "Service") — the WealthMap web application and any official WealthMap mobile application. It applies to your use of the Service and forms part of, and is governed by, the WealthMap Terms of Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described in it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Summary
WealthMap is a personal net-worth and money-overview tool. You enter your financial figures yourself — WealthMap does not connect to your bank and never asks for or stores your banking logins or passwords. The financial data you enter is stored encrypted and synced across your devices — encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on our servers (AES-256-GCM) under a key we manage (see Section 7). If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only your email address and a Google account identifier — never your Google password — used solely to sign you in (see Section 4). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not price the Service by reading your balances. This Summary is for convenience only and does not replace the full Policy below.
2. Who we are
ArkStella is the operator of WealthMap and the controller responsible for personal information processed through the Service. You can reach us at wealthmap-support@arkstella.com for any privacy question or to exercise your rights.
3. Information we process
We collect and process only what is needed to provide the Service:
- Account information. When you create an account, we process your email address and authentication data — for example, a one-time sign-in code, or, if you choose Google sign-in, the limited Google account information described in Section 4. We do not store your Google password.
- Financial data you enter. The balances, accounts, assets, liabilities, income, expenses, labels, notes and settings you input or import. This is stored encrypted (see Section 7).
- Content you submit to AI features. If you use optional AI features (chat, screenshot or text import, categorization, forecasting), the text or images you submit for that request are processed to produce a response. See Section 8.
- Subscription and billing data. If you purchase a paid plan, our third-party payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not receive or store your full card number; we receive limited transaction data (such as plan, status, and an identifier) needed to activate and manage your subscription.
- Technical and usage data. Information generated automatically when you use the Service, such as IP address, device and browser type, approximate region derived from your IP, language preference, timestamps, and diagnostic or error logs. We use this to operate, secure, debug and improve the Service.
- Local device storage. The Service stores data on your device (for example, in browser local storage or app storage) to remember preferences and, for guests, to keep your working data on your device only.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (such as health, biometric, or political data). Please do not enter such data into free-text fields.
4. Signing in with Google
WealthMap offers Sign in with Google as one optional way to create your account and log in. Using it is entirely your choice — you can instead sign in with your email address (via a one-time code) and never involve Google.
What Google user data we access. When you choose Sign in with Google, we use Google's OAuth 2.0 sign-in with the openid and email scopes only. Through these, we receive from your Google Account:
- your email address;
- whether that email address is verified by Google; and
- your Google account identifier (the unique ID Google assigns to your account).
We do not request or receive your name, profile photo, contact list, calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google data, and we never receive or store your Google password.
How we use Google user data. We use it for one purpose only: to create your WealthMap account (or match you to your existing account by that email address) and sign you in securely. We do not use Google user data for advertising, for building profiles about you, for credit or lending decisions, or to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
How we share Google user data. We do not sell Google user data and do not transfer or disclose it to third parties, except to the infrastructure providers (processors) that host our authentication and database solely so that sign-in can function, or where disclosure is required by law — the same limits described in Sections 6 (How we share information) and 7 (Security and encryption).
How we protect and retain Google user data. Your email address and Google account identifier are transmitted over TLS/HTTPS and stored on our servers protected as described in Section 7 (Security and encryption). We retain them for as long as your account is active and delete them when you delete your account, as described in Section 10 (Data retention).
Limited Use. WealthMap's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can review how Google handles your information in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can review or revoke WealthMap's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions.
5. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- provide, maintain, sync and secure the Service and your account;
- authenticate you and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- process AI requests you initiate and return results to you;
- process payments, manage subscriptions, and enforce plan limits;
- respond to your support requests and communicate service-related notices;
- monitor, debug, and improve performance, reliability and features; and
- comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We rely on the following legal bases where applicable (e.g., under the EU/UK GDPR): performance of our contract with you (providing the Service); your consent (optional features you switch on); our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, preventing abuse); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except as follows:
- Service providers (processors). We use a small number of vendors to run the Service — including cloud hosting and storage, a payment processor, email delivery, and AI model providers — who process information only on our instructions and under contract. They are limited to the categories of data needed for their function (for example, an AI provider receives only the content of a request you initiate).
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ArkStella, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms.
- Business transfers. If ArkStella is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
7. Security and encryption
Protecting your data is central to WealthMap, and we apply industry-standard measures:
- Encryption in transit using TLS/HTTPS.
- Encryption at rest. Once you sign in, your synced financial data is stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) under a key we manage, with routine key rotation. Encryption keys are kept separate from the database, so a copy of the stored data alone cannot be read. This design also allows us to help you with account recovery and support — if you lose your password, your data is not lost.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account; notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.
8. AI features
Certain optional features send content you provide (such as a message or an uploaded screenshot) to AI model providers acting as our processors, in order to generate a response for you. Only the content necessary for that request is transmitted. These features are provided for convenience, may produce inaccurate results, and do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice — verify anything important before relying on it. The context for an AI request is assembled on your device and transmitted only for that request.
9. International data transfers
We operate globally and use infrastructure and providers that may process information in countries other than your own, whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in these locations.
10. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal data within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records (such as transaction records). Backups and logs are purged on a rolling basis.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the rights to access, correct, export (portability), delete, or restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR; residents of California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them (note: we do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined).
You can:
- view, edit, export, and delete your financial data directly in the app at any time;
- delete your account, which removes your synced data as described in Section 10; and
- contact us at wealthmap-support@arkstella.com to exercise any right. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Families and younger users
WealthMap is a general-audience personal-finance tool. It is not designed for or specifically directed at young children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from young children. There is no age requirement to use the Service (see the Terms of Service); where a minor uses it, a parent or guardian is responsible for their use and for the information entered, and should supervise that use. Please do not enter another person's personal or financial information without their permission. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without the involvement of a parent or guardian, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Cookies and local storage
The Service uses local storage and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate core functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
14. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to third-party websites or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and this Policy does not apply to them. Review their policies separately.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL; material changes may be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
Translations. For convenience, this Policy may be made available in languages other than English. If there is any inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails.
