These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and ArkStella ("ArkStella", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of WealthMap (the "Service") — the WealthMap web application and any official WealthMap iOS or Android application.

By accessing or using the Service, or by clicking "Agree", you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

WealthMap is a general-audience personal-finance tool for users of all ages. The only thing you need in order to use it is the ability to understand basic arithmetic and everyday personal-finance concepts — such as balances, income, expenses, assets, debts, and interest — well enough to use the Service responsibly. There is no age requirement to use it. By using the Service you represent that you can understand and use it as intended, and that all information you provide is accurate and lawful for you to provide. If you do not have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms on your own, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service.

2. What the Service is — and is not

WealthMap is a private, informational tool that helps you record, organize, visualize, analyze, and reference your own net worth, asset mix, cash flow, and runway across currencies and account types. Its sole purpose is to assist you in keeping track of and understanding your personal finances. You enter your figures yourself; the Service does not connect to your bank and does not store banking credentials. Your data is stored encrypted at rest and synced across your devices.

The Service is not a bank, brokerage, exchange, custodian, accounting system, or money-transmission service. It does not hold, move, manage, or take custody of your money or assets, does not execute any transaction, and is not a system of record for tax, legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes. It is an aid to your own record-keeping and analysis only.

Languages. The Service is offered only in the languages we make available in the app — currently English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, Japanese, French, Spanish, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Arabic, Dutch, and Russian. We have no obligation to offer, complete, or maintain the Service in any other language, and languages outside this list are not supported.

3. Not financial advice — for assistance and reference only

The Service exists only to help you record, analyze, organize, and reference your own finances. Everything it produces — including all figures, charts, forecasts, rates, valuations, "runway", "Wealth Index", and any AI-generated output — is provided for general informational and personal-organization purposes only. It is NOT financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or other professional advice, and it is not a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any asset. ArkStella is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, tax adviser, accountant, or fiduciary, and no advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship is created by your use of the Service. Exchange rates, benchmark rates, valuations, forecasts, and other data may be delayed, estimated, incomplete, or inaccurate, and every output depends entirely on the figures you enter. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions and for independently verifying any information before you act on it, and you should consult a qualified professional before making any important financial, investment, tax, or legal decision. You use the Service, and rely on its outputs, at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decision made, or action taken or not taken, in reliance on the Service.

4. Your data and accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of the data you enter or import. The Service performs calculations on the inputs you provide and does not independently verify them; outputs are only as accurate as your inputs. You retain ownership of the financial data you enter. Your data is stored encrypted at rest under a key we manage, which is what lets us help you recover your data if you lose access to your account. How we handle your information is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. AI features

AI-assisted features (chat, import parsing, categorization, cash-flow estimates, and similar) are provided for convenience, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are subject to Section 3. They are not professional advice. Do not rely on them for any important decision without independent verification. AI features are subject to usage limits by plan and to fair-use and anti-abuse controls.

6. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at wealthmap-support@arkstella.com of any unauthorized use. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe present a security, legal, or abuse risk.

7. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

• Plans and prices. The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers. Current prices and features are shown on our Pricing page and at checkout. Prices are in US dollars and are exclusive of any taxes, which are your responsibility where applicable.
• Payment processor. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. By purchasing, you also agree to that processor's terms. We do not receive or store your full card details.
• Billing term and renewal. Your subscription runs for the term selected at checkout (for example, one year). If your subscription is set to renew automatically, we (via the processor) will attempt to charge the then-current price for the next term unless you cancel before the renewal date. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want to be charged again.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals. Unless required by law, cancellation does not retroactively refund the current term, and you keep paid access until the end of the term already paid for.
• Refunds. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partial periods, unused time, or features you do not use. This does not limit any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under the consumer laws of your jurisdiction.
• Price and plan changes. We may change prices, tiers, quotas, and features. Changes to recurring prices apply to future terms and, where required, will be notified in advance; your continued use or renewal after the change constitutes acceptance.
• Non-payment. If a charge fails or is reversed, we may downgrade or suspend paid features.

8. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to, and not to help or permit anyone else to:

• copy, mirror, scrape, or republish the Service, its pages, its design, or its code, in whole or in part;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, or attempt to extract or reconstruct its source code, layouts, or financial-calculation logic, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• build or operate a competing or substantially similar product using the Service's code, designs, structure, or look and feel;
• access the Service through automated means (bots, crawlers, headless browsers) beyond what a normal human user does, or circumvent rate limits, authentication, quotas, or other technical protections;
• use the Service's backend, APIs, or AI features other than through the official WealthMap client, or resell, proxy, or share access to them;
• upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or use the Service to launder money or in violation of sanctions or export controls; or
• interfere with, disrupt, probe, or compromise the Service's operation, integrity, or security.

9. Intellectual property

The Service — including its source code, user interface, layouts, designs, text, graphics, logic, and the "WealthMap" and "ArkStella" names and logos — is owned by ArkStella and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws (see the project LICENSE). Being able to view client-side code in your browser grants you no right to use, copy, or redistribute it. We grant you only a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the Service for its intended personal purpose, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as hosting, payment, email, and AI providers) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArkStella disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that any data, rate, calculation, or forecast will be accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARKSTELLA AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, OR FOR ANY FINANCIAL OR INVESTMENT LOSS OR DECISION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN ALL CASES, ARKSTELLA'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ArkStella and its owners, officers, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your data or content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service, other users, or ArkStella. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including Sections 3, 4, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 — survive termination.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ArkStella is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at wealthmap-support@arkstella.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding arbitration and class-action waiver. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute not resolved informally will be settled by final and binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and you and ArkStella waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief for infringement or misuse of intellectual property, or bars you from bringing an individual claim in a small-claims court where available. Where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, this section does not remove that right.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and post the new version at this URL; material changes may be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and ArkStella regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect and the unenforceable provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Headings are for convenience only.

Translations. For convenience, these Terms may be made available in languages other than English. If there is any inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails.
